Inspiring Audiences

In mid 2010, I started doing some TV work to bring more awareness and exposure to my restaurant in Virginia.

At the time, nobody knew who I was as a chef, nor who we were as a restaurant. I instantly fell in love with being in front of people, entertaining and sharing my knowledge with audiences that soon spanned the entire Eastern seaboard. I’ve appeared on over 100 TV segments where I’ve shared recipes, content from my book and promotions for various fundraisers I’ve thrown.

Along the Way

I had the opportunity to study media training under the renowned Lisa Ekus, who assisted in the development of my voice, strategy and implementation on screen, which soon turned into the stage.

In 2014, I gave my first TEDx talk in Hampton Roads, Virginia in the wake of my first articles to go viral. That led to additional opportunities on various stages throughout the country with companies, conferences and schools where I’ve shared my story of success/failure, leadership/company culture, and brand building in both the blogging and hospitality industry. Clients include Texas Roadhouse, Johnson & Wales, TEDx, Failure:Lab, Culinary Institute of Miami, American Culinary Federation and many more.

Speaking Reel

“I came across Chris’ writing a few years back, and I was instantly drawn to it—it was clear that he was a man on a mission. We’ve connected more recently, and I’ve been impressed to see the passion and commitment he has to, not only individuals in the restaurant industry, but in the greater world, as well. It’s no surprise that he has such an emphatic, loyal group of followers.”

“I’m a behavioral analyst; I study people. I’m an expert in personality difference, the way people interact with each other. So it’s safe to say that I’m a good judge of character. Chris is what you’re looking for from a leader, and I’m not just talking about for a business or an organization, but for something much bigger. It’s clear that his goal is to improve the lives of those around him, and the work he puts out to the world is a clear depiction of his generosity and drive to make the world a better place.”

“In a world full of bogus marketers, brands and storytellers, Chris is one of those genuine individuals whose heart is in the right place, and as a result has been able to create a massive presence in social media. For him, it seems as though the mission drives the bus, and that’s all too rare in the marketplace these days.”
